The contact owns a 2023 Ram Promaster 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the message âPower Steering Serviceâ was displayed with a high-pitched whining sound coming from underneath the hood and the dashboard.

Steering Rack and Pinion failure due to corroded electrical connection plug. This occurred in april, 2025, when the van had less than 15,000 miles on it. Took the van to Blue Ridge Chrysler Dodge dealership in Abingdon Va .for Warranty repair.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the driver seat belt buckle as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 9, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403.

2025-12-11Engine and engine cooling25V720000 Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The electrical circuit for the radiator fan may overheat.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the cooling fan module and fuse. In addition dealers will provide an addendum for the manual and label for the power distribution center.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring harness and electronic power steering gear, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed November 17, 2026.
