ABOUT
Model Year Report publishes used-car reliability verdicts computed directly from NHTSA's public complaint, recall, and investigation data — for every make, model, and year with enough data to support one.
HOW THE DATA GETS HERE
Every number on this site traces back to a public NHTSA ODI source row: the complaints, recalls, and investigations flat files, refreshed daily. We don't scrape CarComplaints, Consumer Reports, or J.D. Power, and we don't use sales figures, which aren't public. See Methodology for exactly how a verdict is computed from that data.
HOW WE MAKE MONEY
Some pages may show sponsored VIN-check or warranty-quote links, clearly labeled and visually separated from computed content. Sponsorship never affects a verdict, a ranking, or any computed number on this site — see the affiliate disclosure for details.
CONTACT
Questions about a specific verdict or the underlying data should start with Methodology, which explains the full computation. For anything else, complaints are unverified owner reports filed with NHTSA — direct data-quality questions belong with NHTSA's own ODI reporting system, not this site.
