When refueling vehicle check valve in fuel filler neck is defective causing gasoline to be ejected at high volocity when the gas pump handle shuts off. Owner had cuticles on left foot burned from skin contact with liquid gasoline.

Vehicle: 2006 Dodge Durango VIN: [XXX] Issue Type: Fuel System / Safety Hazard Description: During refueling, the vehicle repeatedly shuts the pump off and then sprays gasoline back out of the filler neck, creating a fire and injury hazard.

Fuel spills out when you fill it up. I read there were safety recalls due to this issue for 2006 Dodge Durango's but a recall isn't appearing for my vehicle. When filling it fills fine until almost a full tank.

We were driving our 2006 Dodge Durango for about 5 minutes when all of a sudden the dash board lights started flashing. My husband was able to veer off the road on a side street and coast down into a parking lot.

My 2006 Dodge Durango caught on fire four weeks ago while my girlfriend was driving it. The truck had only been running a total of tens. It appeared to have started on the driver side of the truck.
