TOOK A SHORT DRIVE. TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. AFTER A COUPLE MINUTES SMOKE AND FLAMES WERE COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. GRABBED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER OPENED THE HOOD AND PUT OUT THE FIRE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.

NOT SURE IF CAUSED BY ACCIDENT OR FAILURE OF MATERIAL. FRONT BASKET UNDER LEFT FRONT IS SPLITTING. ACCIDENT INVOLVED LEFT FRONT, ALMOST A COMPLETE REBUILD ON THAT CORNER. WAS DOING AN UNDER BODY INSPECTION WHILE GETTING AN OIL CHANGE.

MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING AND SUDDENLY THE CAR STARTED SMOKING WE PULLED OVER, THE FIRE FIGHTERS WERE CALLED. THEY HAD TO BREAK THE DASHBOARD IN ORDER TO STOP THE FIRE. THEY SPRAY THE CAR WITH WATER INSIDE AND OUT. CAR WAS TOTAL.
