In 2020 my 2017 Chevrolet Volt had an intermittent problem turning off. My Chevrolet dealer worked to fix the problem. This March I had an accident which involved me thinking the car was shut down.

This car has a failed EGR valve which first became evident in March of 2024. There are no parts available, this in an emissions issue but the failure causes blown fuses which can cause the car to completely stop running which is a safety issue.

THE CAR WILL GO BACKWARDS WHILE IN PARK, SPECIALLY WHEN THE BATTERY IS DEPLETED. LATE AT NIGHT I HAD PARKED THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET GOT OUT AND WAS GOING TO MOVE A TRASH CAN OUT OF THE WAY WHEN THE CAR STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS.
