Tl* the contact owns a 2006 Mercury Milan. While driving 20 MPH, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the driver side air bag ruptured independently without warning. As a result, the contact was blinded and rear ended the preceding vehicle.

In more than one instance the brakes have suddenly gone "Soft", making it very difficult to break. One time the driver went over a bumpy area in the road and two other times it occurred when the roads were wet.

2021-04-01Service brakes, hydraulic19V904000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2006-2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln Zephyr and MKZ vehicles.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will flush the brake system with DOT 4 fluid and install a new brake fluid reservoir cap. In addition, the HCU will be tested to detect a possible stuck valve condition, replacing the HCU as necessary.
