OWNER WAS DRIVING ON CURVEY PAVED ROAD IN RAIN CONDITIONS. BACK END STARTED TO LOSE TRACTION. TRIED TO CORRECT AND STEERING LOCKED AND WHEELS STUCK TO RIGHT. TRUCK RAN OFF ROAD. MECHANIC FOUND TIE RODS BROKEN AND STEERING GEAR BOX BROKEN INSIDE.

YOU DRIVE THIS TRUCK ON ROUGH ROADS AND THE TRUCK IS BOUNCING ALL OVER AND CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL WHICH MADE ME GO OFF THE ROAD. AS SOON AS YOU HIT BUMPS THE TRUCK SWAYS EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT WHICH HAS GOT ME IN CLOSE CALL FOR AN ACCIDENT.

ISSUE #1 AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND AFTER HITTING A BAD BUMP ON ROAD, THE TRUCK WOULD GO INTO AN UNCONTROLLABLE WHEEL HOP. THE ONLY WAY TO BRING VEHICLE BACK UNDER CONTROL IS TO SLOW DOWN BELOW 40 MPH. THIS NEARLY CAUSED A WRECK ON THE INTERSTATE.

TIRES REPLACED DUE TO BELT SEPARATION AT THE EDGE OF THE TREAD, CAUSING A SEVERE VIBRATION ABOVE 35MPH. THE TIRES DOT WAS CHECKED WITH MANUFACTURERS LIST OF RECALLS AND EVEN THOUGH THE TIRES WERE MANUFACTURED IN 2009, THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks.

Remedy: Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.
