On June 20th 2026 while driving my 2023 Ford Edge SEL AWD at approximately 35mph on an active hwy (93 AZ NB in Wickenburg AZ) the vehicle experienced a sudden catastrophic loss of motive power and came to a sudden stop in a jerking motion.

I hit a very large item, a diesel tire, and although it broke the tires control arm or axle and was driving and sliding sideways, the cruise control never turned off. Even after hit the brakes it took it a minute before it turned off.

2023-05-11Child seat23V198000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023 Edge and Lincoln Nautilus vehicles.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the left-side second-row seat back frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 23C09.

2026-04-13Back over prevention26V124000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Ford Bronco and 2021-2024 Ford Edge vehicles. The Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) may overheat and shutdown, which can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended.
Remedy: The APIM software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 13, 2026. Owners may contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332.
