The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal locked and was inoperable. Due to the brake pedal failure, the vehicle crashed into a nearby curb.

During the course of ownership of a 2011 Ford Edge, a sever breaking issue emerged with no warning or alerts of any kind. The main issue arises when a driver down presses the brake pedal during driving conditions st any speed.

I attempted to park behind a parked vehicle. I backed out of a driveway approx 60' from the parked car and when I put the car in drive the engine started to race & rev very quickly (6 - 7 RPM) like the accelerator was stuck.
