Tl* the contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. While the vehicle was stationary, the throttle body malfunctioned. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal slightly and the vehicle rapidly lunged forward independently.

    2014-02-25Fuel system, gasoline14V002000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Edge vehicles manufactured from September 2, 2010, through April 25, 2013, and equipped with 2.0L engines.

    Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel line with one that does not have a damper, free of charge. The safety recall began on February 25, 2014. Owners may contact Ford at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 13S13.
