Black smoke and large flames appeared from the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed an independent mechanic, who indicated the fuel rail failed.

Undercarriage vehicle fire caused by fuel lines leaking fuel. Tt leaking fuel pump and leaking gas line underneath vehicle, fuel pump was replaced, vehicle kept stalling, consumer began to smell fuel and vehicle caught fire while driving.

    1991-07-04Visibility91V004000 Water leaking under windshield cowl in area above heater blower motor resistor block results in corrosion of the resistor terminals.

    Remedy: The blower motor resistor block will be replaced, and a mastic patch applied to seal the cowl against water entry. Damaged wire connectors will be replaced.
