The rear sliding glass/defrost has a defect in where is short out and overheats the contacts. This in turn get so hot that is start to melt contacts and all the plastic where the contacts are in addition the rear window shatters.

I was pulling in my driveway and lost all steering, the wheel wouldn't turn, truck was still running fine no issues but the steering was out. Within 2 minutes the truck was fully engulfed in flames.

2022-05-05Air bags21V504000 General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2015-2016 GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 3500, and Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the left and right side RRAB modules, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters informing owners of the safety risk were mailed on August 18, 2021. Owners will receive a second notice when the remedy is available.
