Dt: the vehicle was sitting when fire occured. In the engine compartment. Smoke was coming from under hood. There was no warning before fire. It was a fuel fire. Owner doesnt know what component.

While driving at 60 MPH consumer saw smoke coming from the engine compartment. Consumer pulled over to the curb, and saw. Fire in the engine compartment. Then, called the fire department.

For no apparent reason, my entire gauge cluster lights, a/c & air control knob lights, and the light for the shifter all stopped working. Also, my trip odometer does not function either.

1993-12-08Fuel system, gasoline93V199000 The fuel lines on these vehicles may have been misrouted and may contact the "Air" Check valve. The high temperatures from the "Air" Check valve could allow it to melt through and damage a fuel line.
Remedy: Reroute any misrouted fuel lines to the proper position, and replace any fuel line bundle where the outer shell has been melted through.
