My 2015 Chevrolet Camaro has developed a recurring issue where the ignition key becomes stuck and cannot be removed. The vehicle appears to believe it is still in gear even though the transmission has been placed in Park.

This is a very know common within the 2015 Camaros. The ignition key always gets stuck when put in park. Many believe it is due to gearshift button getting stuck. There has been recalls on this in many states.

On Sunday, September 10th, The key got stuck in the ignition and would not come out. The car was on and it could not turn off. The car ran for approximately an hour.

I was recently involved in an auto accident and my Chevy Camaro was totaled. I was hit on the right passenger fender/tire side area. My air bags did not deploy and i feel that they should have been deployed with the impact that my vehicle took.

    2015-10-19Air bags15V666000 General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, and GMC Terrain vehicles.

    Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side impact air bag modules, free of charge. The recall began on October 19, 2015.

    2020-02-04Electrical system19E064000 General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain replacement flip-key ignition transmitter assemblies sold as replacement equipment for 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles.

    Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the key with the flat blade design, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed November 6, 2019.
