See answers to questions below. This is not a unique issue and it has been reported by many other owners. The issue is caused by wind causing overtravel and binding in an improperly engineered wiper system on this model/era RV.

Recall 17V-162. This recall only tightens fasteners on wiper assy. It does no additional repairs. My wipers blades fell apart while driving in heavy rain on interstate 90. Dealer would only replace entire wiper assembly for $500+.

Remedy: TMC will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wiper system to verify it is installed correctly, repairing or replacing the system as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 27, 2017.
