TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MERCURY MOUNTAINEER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HE ROCKED THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH IT MADE A POPPING NOISE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR.
