AS I WAS DRIVING. 35MPH MY FRONT WHEEL ON THE DRIVER SIDE HAD SNAPPED OFF CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. LONG STORY SHORT. I'M GOING THRU A FINANCIAL CRISIS. MY CAR WAS TOWED BY AAA TO MY HOUSE. I NOTIFIED MY INSURANCE COMPANY.

5/9/2021 The SRS dashboard light came on with a bell warning. Bell quits after a short time but the light stays on solid. When turning ignition on, light and bell comes on, blinks 3 times, does this 6 times and then stays on solid.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND LIGHTLY CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL.

CERTAIN AFTERMARKET FUEL FILTERS SOLD UNDER THE PUROLATOR BRAND NAME, P/N F65277, SHIPPED FROM JANUARY 16 THROUGH JUNE 2, 2006, FOR USE ON THE ABOVE LISTED PASSENGER VEHICLES. DUE TO INCORRECT DESIGN

Remedy: UFI WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 4, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT UFI FILTERS USA AT 800-230-5876.
