[XXX], driving under normal conditions, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck suddenly burst into flames from under the engine hood. No warning lights lit, only a loud and very sudden bang was heard.

On February 4TH, 2019, I parallel parked my vehicle at 9AM on the street. At about 4PM that day, the fire department notified me that my 2017 Honda Ridgeline was on fire. My Ridgeline was stationary, parked on the street, and it was a rainy day.

    2017-02-03Electrical system16V888000 Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain model year 2017 Ridgeline AWD vehicles manufactured April 1, 2016, to August 11, 2016.

    Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the rear wiring harness and related components, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is KD3.

    2019-03-14Fuel system, gasoline19V053000 Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Ridgeline trucks. Exposure to acids, such as from car wash soaps, can result in the fuel pump feed port cracking.

    Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, if necessary, and install a fuel pump cover, free of charge. The recall began March 14, 2019. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

    Remedy: Honda will notify all registered owners of 2017-2020 Honda Ridgelines, and dealers will install tethers onto any Honda Genuine Accessory Tonneau Cover to prevent panel separation and apply warning labels, free of charge.
