The control valve body failed. There are so many, that there was a shortage of parts. Had to take it in as it went into limp mode. 34,000 miles. There were dozens of trucks, same year, waiting for the same repair.

SAFETY TIMELINE
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 vehicles. The steering gear shaft may fracture and disconnect from the steering arm.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering gear, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 22, 2023. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782.
