ABS FAILURE AT LOW SPEEDS. TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 25 MPH APPLIED BRAKES TO STOP VECHILE, PEDAL STARTED PULSING AND DROPPED TO FLOOR. BRAKES NEVER SLOWED VECHILE AND CRASHED INTO REAR OF ANOTHER VECHILE.

I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND APPLIED THE BRAKES FOR A RED LIGHT. THE BRAKES FAILED TO RESPOND AND ACTUALLY SURGED CAUSING ME TO HIT THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME AND RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE BRAKES ARE LOCKING AND BURNING.

THERE WERE TWO CASES: FIRST I WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK WITH A CAR HITTING ME IN THE REAR SO HARD THAT MY BACK COMPARTMENTS WONT OPEN AND NOW THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND WONT GO OFF.

Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).
