I NEARLY DIED AS A RESULT OF A FRONT, PASSENGER TIRE THAT FAILED CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO LEAVE THE ROADWAY AFTER I TRIED TO CORRECT AFTER THE BLOWOUT.

ON OCTOBER 17, 1998 AFTER DRIVING ON A US MONTANA 300 MILES I HAD A FRONT PASSENGER TIRE BLOW OUT. THE LAST I RECALL WAS JERKING THE WHEEL AND WHEN I CORRECTED I STRUCK A SMALL IRRIGATION BRIDGE IN THE ON COMING LANE CAUSING MY TRUCK TO ROLL.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SENSOR AND REPLACE IT WITH AN IMPROVED CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 29, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-436-7332.
