TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1990 CHRYSLER GRAND VOYAGER (NA). WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A BUMPING NOISE AND THEN THE VEHICLE STOPPED. HE STATED THAT THE AXLE WAS IN A "V" SHAPE UNDER THE VEHICLE AND WAS NOT COMPLETELY RUSTED.

Remedy: REPLACE FATIGUED STRAPS OR RETROFIT STRAPS WITH A REINFORCEMENT PLATE AND REMOVAL OF AN ANTIROTATION TAB TO PREVENT FATIGUE FAILURE.
