Tl* the contact owns a 2005 Cadillac Deville. The contact stated that while driving various speeds, the vehicle swerved and crashed into a fire hydrant. A police report was filed and no injuries were sustained.

Airbags failed to open after engine died. Car went dead and steering brakes failed to operate properly. Seat became unlocked. I was jammed under steering wheel. Engine and car dead. Front end and rear end total, never received replacement.

    2014-09-23Electrical system14V355000 This defect can affect the safe operation of the airbag system. Until this recall is performed, customers should remove all items from their key rings, leaving only the ignition key.

    Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will install two key rings and an insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head on all ignition keys, free of charge. The recall began on September 23, 2014.
