AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON AT ALL TIMES. CAR WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION. I HAD TO PARK CAR AND NO LONGER DRIVE EVEN THOUGH I PUT A NEW ENGINE IN IT AND HAD THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT IN 2013. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL ON AIRBAG SYSTEM FOR MY CAR.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIMOUSINES. DURING NORMAL ENGINE ROLL, THE PLASTIC END FITTING OF THE CRUISE CONTROL CABLE COULD CONTACT THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND FRACTURE. THIS DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIR

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW CRUISE CONTROL BRACKET AND, IF NECESSARY, WILL REPLACE THE CRUISE CONTROL CABLE.

This defect can affect the safe operation of the airbag system. Until this recall is performed, customers should remove all items from their key rings, leaving only the ignition key.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will install two key rings and an insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head on all ignition keys, free of charge. The recall began on September 23, 2014.
