2000 YAMAHA R6 2ND GEAR FAILURE. CENTRAL NJ. SWITCHING TO SECOND GEAR NOT SMOOTH AND COMES OUT OF SECOND GEAR. TRANSMISSION NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I AM A SAFETY INSTRUCTOR AND KNOW HOW TO RIDE. THIS IS A MECHANICAL AND ENGINEERING ISSUE.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE SCREWS HOLDING THE SIDESTAND SWITCH CAN LOOSEN AND FALL OUT DUE TO ENGINE HEAT AND VIBRATION. IF THIS HAPPENS, THE SIDESTAND SWITCH WOULD NOT FUNCTION CORRECT

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SCREWS HOLDING THE SIDESTAND SWITCH.
