I WAS DOWNSHIFTING AND HEARD A REALLY LOAD NOISE FROM THE TRANSMISSION. THE NOISE IS PREVALENT IN 3 RD GEAR ONLY WHEN DOWNSHIFTING. IT IS WORSE AS IT CAN BE HEARD WHEN ACCELERATING NOW. ONLY 3RD GEAR IS EFFECTED.

MY MOTORCYCLE ENGINE STOPS RUNNING UNEXPECTEDLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAPPENS APPROXIMATELY EVERY 50 MILES OR SO. THE WORST CONSEQUENCE SO FAR IS THAT IT MADE ME FALL TO THE PAVEMENT RESULTING IN INJURIES TO MY KNEES, ELBOW AND BACK.

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, WHEN EQUIPPED WITH A WINDSHIELD, THE THROTTLE CABLES CAN KINK AT THE GUIDE BRACKET LOCATED AT THE STEERING HEAD WHEN THE HANDLEBAR IS TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT. IN THIS P

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE GUIDE BRACKET WITH A NEW ONE THAT HAS AN ADDITIONAL GUIDE TO PREVENT THE THROTTLE CABLES FROM KINKING. THE RECALL BEGAN ON APRIL 19, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT YAMAHA AT 1-800
