2000 ALPINE ABS SENSOR FAILED 3 TIMES. *TS ***NAR*** THE MANUFACTURER ACKNOWLEDGE THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CALIPERS AND PAID FOR THE REPLACEMENTS, HOWEVER THEY REFUSED TO COVER ANY OF THE REAR ABS SENSORS.

THE DRIVER NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE STARTED PERFORMING ERRATICALLY WHILE DECELERATING DOWN A HILL. WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND PULLED OVER TO THE SHOULDER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CLASS A MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES BUILT BY AM-SAFE. ON SOME SEAT BELTS, THE BUCKLE AND CONNECTOR MAY UNLATCH DURING A COLLISION.
Remedy: AM-SAFE IN NOTIFYING CUSTOMERS THAT THEY WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE BUCKLE ASSEMBLIES FREE OF CHARGE.
