Front seatbelt stuck in the retracted position and therefore the seatbelt cannot be used. The vehicle was parked when the defect was discovered.

Nothing we know of caused this failure except folding the rear seat down in the cargo position. When we raised the seat up the seat belt wouldn't release. Now we don't have a seat we can use and no operating seatbelt.

    2021-12-14Air bags21V800000 Volvo Cars USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling certain 2001-2007 V70 and XC70 vehicles.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver's air bag, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 14, 2021. Owners may contact Volvo Car customer service at 1-888-458-1552. Volvo Car's number for this recall is R10136.
