Mileage on this vehicle was 115K when this happened: my wife started to back the car straight out of our driveway (From a stopped position, in reverse gear) when she heard a loud bang which came from the drivers side front of the vehicle.

Loud rattle noise front driver's side. I was on my way for service for the 110,000 checkup. My mechanic said it was the front coil spring that let go. He said he has had 9 other cars in the shop in the past 2 weeks with the identical problem.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the driver's air bag, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 14, 2021. Owners may contact Volvo Car customer service at 1-888-458-1552. Volvo Car's number for this recall is R10136.
