Took car for first drive. After traveling 145 miles into this trip when trouble started. Ambient temp was 101F. Drive time was just over 2.5 hours. Gas tank was slightly over half empty. Car stalled taking off from stop.

    Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will install a protective cover over the steering wheel clock spring if the air bag light is off.

    Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles to make them fully compliant or Volkswagen will repurchase them if necessary, free of charge. The recall began November 29, 2018.
