Tl* the contact owns a 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser. When the push to start button was applied, an abnormal popping noise was heard. The vehicle was engaged in the park position at the time of the failure.

Secondary air injection system pumps have become fouled due to uncovered intake. Water and debris, within both pumps due to poor design. Damage to both pumps and valves. While in motion the vehicle warning system activates.

Remedy: Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected air bag assemblies, free of charge. The recall began September 29, 2017. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is H0S.
