TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 SUZUKI GSX-R 1000. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REGULATOR FAILED AND CAUSED THE BATTERY TO CHARGE INCORRECTLY. THE MOTORCYCLE COULD NO LONGER BE TAKEN ON LONG DRIVES.

SAFETY TIMELINE
SUZUKI IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2012 GSX-R1000 MOTORCYCLES. DUE TO LOOSE BOLTS THE SIDE STAND INTERLOCK SWITCH MAY FAIL.
Remedy: SUZUKI WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND SUZUKI DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SIDE STAND INTERLOCK SWITCH BOLTS, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JUNE 7, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SUZUKI AT 1-714-996-7040
