I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM SUZUKI MOTORS ABOUT MY 06 GSXR 1000. THE RECALL IS FOR THE FRAME CRACKING UNDER STRESS. I TOOK THE FRAME TO A LOCAL SUZUKI DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THE FRAME HAD A HAIRLINE CRACK IN IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 SUZUKI GSX-R1000. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, HE ATTEMPTED TO SWITCH LANES WHILE DECELERATING. THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE CONCRETE DIVIDER.

AMERICAN SUZUKI (SUZUKI) IS CONDUCTING A SAFETY IMPROVEMENT CAMPAIGN INVOLVING 26,082 MY 2005-2006 GSX-R1000 MOTORCYCLES. CRACKING OR BREAKAGE OF THE MOTORCYCLE FRAME CAN OCCUR IN CERTAIN EXTREME SIT
