Tl* the contact owns a 2007 Saab 9-7X. The contact stated that upon starting her vehicle, a flame emitted from the driver side door panel. The flame then dissipated as white smoke began to emit from the driver side door.

Takata recall I woke up to my vehicle on fire and it had been off for over 8 hours. It had been parked in my driveway all night. We heard a bang from inside then out neighbor banged on our door a minute later saying my vehicle was on fire.

2007 Saab 9-7X with several problems. Consumer would like the dealer to buy back the vehicle due to these problems. He states that the side mirror control does not work, grinding noise while turning right which was fixed previously.

    Remedy: Owners will be contacted and dealers will test the driver's door module. If the module is functioning properly, a protective coating will be applied. If the module is not functioning properly, it will be replaced.
