On 11/22/17 at around 5PM driving east bound on i-76 in Pennsylvania our 2014 Ram 1500 ecodiesel engine caught on fire. As I tried to stop I realized I had no brakes.

We were driving our new truck (Only 13 days old) and came up behind a car going 25MPH in a 50MPH zone. We slowly accelerated the truck to pass the vehicle. During this acceleration, we saw large amounts of white smoke coming from both tailpipes.

My truck has a rotary switch used to switch between park, reverse, neutral and drive. My vehicle was running and I was in drive. I stopped and turned the switch three places to the left. This put the vehicle in park. I left the engine running.
