The taillamp housing failed, and taillamp fell out of the vehicle. Online research shows that this is a design defect that Porsche learned of early in the "991.1" generation cars, as it is reported by multiple owners at multiple sites online.

The tail light assembly mounting fastener failed and the tail light assembly fell out of the rear bumper assembly. There was no indication of a failure while driving. Apparently this is a known issue with the 991.1 version of the 911.

I WAS PULLING INTO MY GARAGE AND NEARLY RAN OVER MY WIFE DUE TO THE GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD . THIS CAR HAS A VERY LIGHT COLORED DASH TOP. THE GARAGE WAS SHADED BUT THIS WAS A BRIGHT SUNNY DAY.
