TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 OLDSMOBILE AURORA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25-30 MPH, THE RACK AND PINION FRACTURED, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF STEERING CAPABILITIES. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A DITCH.

THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM THE GAS TANK. I HAD DRIVEN THE CAR PUT GAS IN THE CAR PARKED THE CAR AND IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE MEN SAID THE FIRE STARTED FROM THE GAS SYSTEM.. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN PRIVATE PARKING LOT RUNNING.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE INTERNAL FLUID LEAKS IN THE BRAKE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE ABS HYDRAULIC MODULATOR UNIT AND IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE HYDRAULIC MODULATOR.
