WHILE WAITING FOR A LIGHT TO CHANGE I NOTICED A PUFF OF SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF MY CAR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT QUICKLY TURNED INTO BILLOWS OF SMOKE. MY SISTER AND I QUICKLY GOT MY GRANDCHILDREN OUT OF THE CAR AND OVER TO A SAFE AREA.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 NISSAN JUKE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE UNDER THE HOOD AND PULLED INTO A FUEL STATION.

APPROX 1:00 P.M. I PULLED INTO THE WENDY'S DRIVE THROUGH AND THE LINE WAS WRAPPED AROUND THE BUILDING. THERE WAS A LARGE LIKE FORD TRUCK IN FRONT OF ME.

R 20180319 — service brakes, hydraulic

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles. Due to a problem within the brake master cylinder, brake fluid may leak into the brake booster, reducing brake performance.

Remedy: Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
