As of 05/20/2025 my vehicle would not detect the Key in the vehicle to start. Put the Key in the slot to detect just in case itâs a bad battery on the Fob and nothing was being detected. Found out the steering lock unit is faulty.

Defective electronic steering column lock (Escl) on 11/11/2017 my 2010 370Z would not start in a commercial parking lot, completely disabled. After some quick research, the problem was identified.

Known issue on some 370ZS,Nissan gtrs and altimas. When steering lock fails car will not not start, without lock release push button start is rendered useless. Nissan is aware of the issue but chose not to correct it.

Tl* the contact was a passenger in a 2010 Nissan 370Z. While driving approximately 70 MPH, another vehicle struck the rear passenger side of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle that the passenger was in spun around.
