TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 MINI COOPER S CLUBMAN. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE BEGAN MAKING HISSING AND POPPING SOUNDS. AFTERWARDS, THE ENGINE FAILED.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT 55,005 MILES WHILE WE WERE DRIVING. WE TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED AND WERE TOLD THAT THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING /THERMOSTAT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION.
