Fuel pump housing failed allowing gas to leak, further degrading parts of the fuel system, ultimately causing the locking ring to fail and gas to leak under rear passenger seat.

With a full tank of gas, gas leaked out of the top of the fuel tank where the fuel sender/filter is located. The fuel wicked up the foam wrapped around the signal/ power wires, came between the access panel screwed to the floor and the floor.

After filling up the car with gas, a terrible odor of gas would permeate the whole interior of the car. Once the car was parked and you walked around the outside of the car you could smell gas as if it was leaking out of the car onto the ground.

    2020-07-10Visibility19V918000 Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2001-2011 vehicles. The bonding between the glass panel and the sliding roof frame may deteriorate, possibly resulting in the glass panel detaching from the vehicle.

    Remedy: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the glass panel bonding and replace the sliding roof, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began July 10, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
