While operating the vehicle, I experienced a sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion accompanied by a Drive System Failure warning. An associated fault message was also displayed. The vehicle became immediately undrivable and required towing.

Car lost power and shut down in the middle of the road. Very dangerous, almost got hit. I was able to get the car to the side of the road. The vehicle was not driveable. Call Lucid customer care and they towed the vehicle to the service center.

I was driving on a residential road and the car signaled it had an error and the engine turned off immediately. I was left in the road and couldnât move. After an hour the electric died. No hazards.

2024-04-04Forward collision avoidance24V076000 Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Air vehicles running software release versions 2.1.2 through 2.1.26. The software may cause a fault while the adaptive cruise control is on, resulting in a loss of drive power.
Remedy: Lucid released an over-the-air (OTA) software update in October 2023, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 8, 2024. Owners may contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243.

2024-08-05Visibility24V495000 Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Air vehicles. The high voltage coolant heater may fail to defrost the windshield.
Remedy: Lucid has released an over-the-air software update to identify a high voltage coolant heater failure and provide a warning to the driver. High voltage coolant heaters that fail will be replaced.

Remedy: Lucid will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update to continually inspect for an inverter failure. If a failure is detected Lucid will replace the inverter, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed July 10, 2026.
