PARK MY CAR AFTER RETURNING FROM WORK. A COUPLE HOURS LATER MY WIFE RETURNED IN HER CAR AND NOTICED THE STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE IN THE GARAGE. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE WELD SEEM ON THE GAS TANK HAS SEPARATED AND LEAKING GAS.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE FUEL TANK FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 11, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-437-7332.
