TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 LAND ROVER FREELANDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE REDUCED TO ITS LOWEST READING. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT AND SUDDENLY THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 208, 'OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION.' THE DEFLECTOR PANEL CONTAINED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE
Remedy: DEALERS HAVE REPLACED THE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULES IN ALL THE AFFECTED VEHICLES.
