While driving approximately 30 mph in June 2024, my 2018 Land Rover Discovery Sport unexpectedly displayed Gearbox Fault and Brake Fault warnings and shifted itself into Park while the vehicle was moving.

When engine cold and shifting into reverse it will take about 2 seconds for car to start moving. My family is pushing on gas in that small window. When the car moves it is quickly accelerating startling the driver.

2018-03-08Fuel system, gasoline18V087000 Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, and Land Rover Discover Sport vehicles equipped with a 2.0L gasoline engine.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel rail, free of charge. The recall began on March 8, 2018. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N138.
