On Friday, July 10 at about 5 PM I was parking in front of one of my favorite restaurants in my new Jeep Wrangler. When shifting going to complete.the park job the gear shift locked the engine began revving and the vehicle lurched forward.

While attempting to make a right turn, the accelerator would not move. This happened again when attempting to merge on the highway. This almost caused a car to run into my side when turning, and a car had to avoid me on the highway when merging.

SAFETY TIMELINE

R 20260529 — child seat

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The child seat tether welds on the second-row, right-side seat frame may be insufficient, which can reduce the seat's ability to properly restrain a child during a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the second-row, right-side seat frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 27D.
