These new Jeep Wrangles came from the factory with an aluminum steering box and Jeep has made 8 new steering boxes to try to fix the "wondering" steering issue but has not made any recalls.

On July 1,2026 , My 2020 Jeep wrangler jl sport died in the middle of traffic causing a safety issue. I was not able to start my jeep and move out of traffic. I was able to disable the transmission and roll out of the road.

While driving on the highway, the check engine light illuminated. Approximately 5 to 10 minutes later, the battery warning light came on.

While driving, the Instrument Cluster Display completely blanked out and ceased functioning. This sudden failure immediately disabled the digital speedometer, fuel gauge, engine temperature readings, oil gauge, and critical safety warning lights.

on 17th July 2024 afternoon I was driving the jeep and the engine started smoking. I quickly pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and within a couple of minutes the engine was on fire.

As slowing down towards a red light at approximately 5 MPH the engine suddenly revved up . Pressed brake to full (Again, no foot on gas), engine continued revving at high RPM.

    Remedy: Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. All vehicles were repaired by January 15, 2024.

    Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge.
