On 10/5/26 our jeep grand cherokee was parked in our drive way with the ignition started and the car in the park position. While my mom was in the car in the drivers seat, the car accelerated forward at a rapid speed and left the park position.

The car started having engine issues. Car wouldnât start. Had it towed to the dealership which replaced the engine after the dealership had it for a month. Then one week after the the engine was replaced the vehicle was having issues again.

2026-06-18Air bags26V328000 Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2023-2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles.
Remedy: Dealers will update the occupant restraint controller module software, free of charge. Some owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403.
