DOT reports there is a recall on the seat belt system in the jag and recommends taking to dealer for repairs (Free). According to the official Jaguar web site this only applies to 1995 vehicles and newer.

The retractable seat belts for my 1991 Jaguar do not operate. The seat belts are suppose to have a liftime warranty. I was placed on a waiting list the Jaguar of tampa, fl 4/20 2009.
