TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 JAGUAR XJ. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER WAS ENTERING THE FUEL LINES AND SPREADING THROUGH THE FUEL TANK, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE ENGINE.

SAFETY TIMELINE

R 19941215 — steering

THE STEERING ASSEMBLY WAS FITTED WITH INCORRECT SPECIFICATION NUTS. THESE NUTS RETAIN THE TRACK ROD END BALL PINS TO THE STEERING ARMS.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL NEW CORRECT SPECIFICATION NUTS ON THE STEERING LINKAGE ASSEMBLY.
